Although February has fewer days than the other months in the year, we have still packed in as much as we possibly could. We have been busy with meetings, seminars and developing new ideas, all of which have been very exciting.

We are also pleased to announce that we are on the shortlist for the biz4Biz judging round, where we will share with the judges more about what Aqua do, and how we support the local community. We will be preparing for our presentation over the next few weeks – wish us luck!

Aqua Team Meeting

We started off the month with our first team meeting of the year, and decade! Our regular Aqua Best Practice meetings are a good chance to all get together and catch up on recent updates, hear from providers we are working with, and discuss our plans for the months ahead. As well as business as usual, some of the Aqua team are already in training for the St Albans Half Marathon, which takes place in June.

SimplyBiz Investment Forum

A couple of weeks ago, some of the Aqua team members attended the SimplyBiz Investment Forum. The discussions included the challenges of the UK economy, evaluated the role of luck and skills in active fund management, and also looked ahead to the global headwinds facing investors, and potential investors, in the months ahead.

Wellbeing Event

The City of Expertise Young Professionals held a breakfast event earlier this week. It’s always good to catch up with other local businesses, and this month we were treated to a particularly interesting talk on the importance of wellbeing and self care at work, and also in our personal lives. It was certainly something to think about, which we all took away with us after the event.
