Business Evolution Forum

Cam, our Aqua administrator, and apprentice, started off the month with a trip to the NMBA Business Evolution Forum in London. It’s always good for us to get out of the office for a day, every so often, and get the opportunity to discuss our views and plans with other people in the finance sector. The day was full of useful information, which included future market predictions, compliance updates and detailed discussions about Will planning.

Money Marketing Retirement Summit

We always look forward to the Money Marketing events, as they are all well-organised and have a great selection of speakers. It was fantastic to get to hear from Justin Cash, the editor of Money Marketing, at their latest Retirement Summit and hear his views and opinions on what is to come.

Sport

In our May roundup, we spoke about Theo, one of Aqua’s advisers, completing his first 10k. We are very proud to announce that this month, he completed the St Albans half marathon in an extremely impressive time of 1:45:59. Well done Theo and everybody else who took part!

Work Experience Placement

This month, we had our second work experience student of the year. With three more places offered from now until October, we continue to support the local community and help the students learn more about the world of work and finance. The pupil was able to assist with reports, sit in on meetings and help develop the marketing side of the business. We wish them every success in the future.

Change The Game Conference 2019

On the 18th of June, two of the Aqua team headed into London to attend the Intelliflo Change The Game conference. They support Aqua to transform and grow through technology, so it was very apt to hear views from a futurist, as well as hear about their new developments and upcoming predictions.

Best Practice Meeting

Towards the end of the month, we held our regular Aqua Best Practice Meeting. It’s very important for the whole team to get together often to share knowledge, speak about updates, stay organised and plan for the future of the business.
